Places to visit during Delhi Manali Tour:

Rohtang Pass :

Situated at an altitude of 3979 m above sea level, it is an adventure tourist's site which is the highest point on the Manali-Keylong road. It provides a breathtaking wide panoramic view of the mountains rising far above the clustered clouds.

Hidimba Temple :

Dedicated to Hidimbi Devi, who was a character in the Indian epic Mahabharata, this temple situated at the foothills of the Himalayas is nestled in the thick growth of the cedar forests, the site of the temple is worth witnessing.

Solang Valley :

Popularly known as The Snow Point, situated 13 kms northwest of Manali, this place is famous for its 300 m high ski lift. One can witness the spectacular view of the glaciers and snow –capped mountains from here.

Monasteries :

Manali is known for its shiny gompas or Buddhist monasteries, there are numerous temples of Tibetan Buddhist Lineages located in this valley.

Gauri Shankar Temple :

Located at DASHAL village, it is a 12th century protected monument where one can witness unimaginable beauty in its lush green apple orchards and the gurgling water streams that are present here.

The Manali Gompa :

Considered to be the most important Buddhist site, it is thronged by huge crowds of Buddhists who travel to this place from Ladakh, Tibet, Spiti, Kinnaur and Lahul. This place is famous for a large statue of Lord Buddha and for its wall paintings as well.
